About me
My name is Bishwa Hang Rai. I was born in Eastern Nepal, in Bhojpur, in a remote village and was raised in the rural village cultural tradition of Nepal. Which meant, among other things, that I had to walk for 4 hours to school every day. And this turned out to be an ideal basis for my present profession as a porter-guide.
Some 10 years now ago now, I decided to go to Pokhara to work as a trekking guide Here, I was trained as a trekking guide and I improved my command of the English language. After that, I worked with large trekking agencies for some time and then gradually started to lead my own trekking tours. Since then, I have been leading many trekking tours year by year. Apart from English, I speak a little German and the various dialects of the Annapurna region. I have been officially registered as a trekking guide with the Nepal Government's ministry of Tourism.
(Guiding license 0475 and R, No-1109)
What I can do for you?
I lead and organise trekking tours all over Nepal and particularly in the Annapurna and Manaslu region. I take on to lead and organise treks for single persons to groups of any size, with the appropriate number of porters. And I will respond to your specific wishes: whether lodge trekking or tent trekking, everything is possible.
The philosophy of trekking
I believe that experience is tremendously important for trekking and have therefore specialised on the Annapurna and Manaslu region. Whether it’s the classic Annapurna round trip or the ABC (Annapurna Base Camp, Annapurna Sanctuary) trek, or any other trek in the Annapurna or Manaslu region, I have been there several times and know the place like the back of my hand. This means I know not only the mountains, the locations, and the people but also the plants, the animals, and the cultural highlights along the way.
Having accompanied guests for many years I am able to tailor hard parts, stage lengths  choice of lodging, etc., to your specific wishes and potentials. So that every day of your holidays comes to be an unforgettable experience.
